Sometimes you write from a heavy heart
I debated whether or not I should write this post, but in the end my heart is heavy and I can’t resist. There is a great divide in this nation and it’s only growing wider. In response, many are taking to the streets from both sides of the divide. Over the past several days we have seen two respective marches- the March for Life and the March for Death (Okay, it was officially named the Women’s March but potatoe, potato). I purposefully titled this post the way I did to accentuate the severe contrast between not only the marches, but in fact the ideologies behind each march.
All lives matter!
It would only be fair to state from the outset that I am a huge proponent of the pro-life movement. I have actively worked with pregnancy care centers around where I live. In fact, my first introduction to my wife was listening to her speak at a benefit dinner for one of those centers. That being said, I will do my best to be as objective as possible.
As you watch news coverage of the March for Life, the first thing you’re struck by is how peaceful, loving and respectful it was. Men and women of all races, colors and nationalities marching for the rights of the most innocent among us, the unborn. Speeches were given by VP Mike Pence, Kellyanne Conway, and the President of March for Life, Jeanne Mancini. The distinguishing features of each of these speeches, is a respectful and loving plea for the unborn to be given a voice. Some spoke on the need for the re-education of the misinformed. Others prayed the hearts of those that take pleasure in the murder and dismemberment of the innocent for financial gain or in the name of science would come to see the atrocity committed and the blood that stains their hands (or maybe that’s just my prayer).
We are NASTY women, hear us roar!
The Women’s March, on the other hand, was a spectacle in itself. The mainstream media tried to portray it as a peaceful march. In fact you could say it was peaceful from the perspective that no property was destroyed and no people were dragged from their cars and beaten. But in sharp contrast to VP Pence, Ms. Conway and Ms Mancini’s speeches we get Madonna and Ashley Judd. Under the guise of peace, unity, equality and inclusion we get quite the opposite. The only way that you will experience any of these is if you completely conform to their ideology. Heaven forbid you agree with them in every area except abortion- let the shunning begin. Case in point an article titled The exclusionary hypocrisy of the Women’s March on Washington. Why all the hatred against those that hold an opposing view?
We’re tired of being objectified!
But here’s what I really don’t understand. How does prancing around naked, wearing p@$$# hats, and carrying signs with more vulgarity than a Quentin Tarantino movie help you not be objectified? Here’s a little news flash for you, if you don’t want to be objectified, then don’t prance around naked. I really don’t know what they are thinking. Why do feminists think that being naked empowers them rather than sinks them deeper and deeper into the quagmire they are trying to escape from. No one is listening to what you’re saying while you’re naked, they’re actually thinking things quite contrary. What were you hoping to achieve? It makes me think of the movie Just Friends and one of the opening scenes…
Why my heart is heavy…
Our society is moving further and further from the Christian principles this country was founded upon. Those that scream for tolerance are the most intolerant. Unborn babies are being murdered, by the thousands, every year. Our choices for President were two extremely immoral people. There is so much hatred on both sides of the aisle and it’s only getting worse.
But I guess what really troubles me is the decadence being perpetuated by the Women’s March. I’m reminded of something a friend recently shared with me. Romans 1:18-31 – there comes a point when someone continually does what is detestable to God that He gives them over to a depraved mind. The things they do are no longer rational but self serving, self gratifying and self destructive. We must pray that the scales fall from their eyes and they turn their hearts back to God.
One last thought… Our President does not dictate the state of our union (thank God), they are a reflection of who we the people are. When you think about Clinton and Trump being representatives of each side of the divide, that should make us sad for the state we are in. You want to fight for what you believe in? Good! As Petra said Get on your knees and fight like a man.

AS YOU KNOW i AM TOTALLY OPPOSED TO ABORTION. CAN I TURN AWAY THE POOR, OPPRESSED, AND RELIGIONS I DON’T LIKE (DID THIS TO BOLSTER HIS BID FOR PRESIDENT) ? AND STILL CALL MY SELF CHRISTIAN/ CAN I DEMEAN WOMEN AND BE ELECTED PRESIDENT? CAN I LIE WHILE I AM PRESIDENT AND THE NEXT DAY SAY I DIDN’T SAY THAT? YES ITS A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS FOR THE U.S. BUT I THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL DEEPLY REGRET ELECTING TRUMP. AND YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I THINK i DON’T THINK HE IS CHRISTIAN I THINK HE FOUND GOD THE DAY HE WAS ELECTED NO PROOF THAT I CAN GIVE JUST MY OPINION P.S. STILL OWE YOU AND TARA A TRIP TO THE CUBAN RESTAURANT KEEP THE FAITH SAY A PRAYER FOR US

First off, I deleted the first part of your comment. That was vastly inappropriate. Second, let me make this as clear as I possibly can I did not vote for Trump! Third this post is not about Trump its about the degradation of our society and the venomous diatribes being perpetuated as love, peace and tolerance. Isn’t the point of protesting and staging marches/rallies to bring attention to your cause and sway public opinion in favor of that cause?
Thanks for being my first commentor 🙂
